This award is presented to Riaan for now having the confidence to ask questions and contribute to class discussions. Riaan is willing to give everything ‘a go’ and is happy to help the other students if needed. Well done, Riaan you are a Scoresby Superstar!
This award goes to Ella for her wonderful narrative she has written about a penguin getting lost in the aquarium! She included a sizzling start, middle and ending. Her story definitely entertained the reader. It is great to see your confidence in writing grow, Ella. Keep up the great work.
This award goes to Naira for the excellent narrative she drafted and published, about a girl who overcame her fears. She listened carefully during mini lessons and willingly took on feedback. We loved how Naira used a sound effect for her ‘sizzling start’. Keep up the amazing writing Naira!
This award goes to Adrian for working towards his reading goal by thoughtfully responding in our reading group this week. After reading a text, he considered how a character was behaving and inferred that the character was being brave. Keep up the great work, Adrian!
The award is presented to Arian for demonstrating the HEART value of Excellence in his handwriting. Arian has taken responsibility for improving his handwriting skills, and I am extremely proud of him. This week, not only has Arian transitioned from pencil to pen, but he has also shown great pride in his writing by working hard and paying attention to detail. It’s fantastic to see this growth, and I encourage you, Arian, to keep building your confidence in handwriting!
This award goes to Medina for the excellent knowledge she has about the Write2Read codes. Medina is able to recall most of the codes and can explain the rules that we have learnt and how these rules are applied to words. Keep up the excellent work, Medina.
This award goes to Riley for the remarkable effort and growth you have demonstrated while writing your information report. You have shown the Excellence HEART value by completing in-depth research on your topic, expanding on your ideas creatively, and using the feedback given, showing that you are an active learner. So proud of you, Riley!
This award goes to Noah for demonstrating the HEART value of Excellence. Noah carefully planned and drafted an informative text on the topic of tea, organising his writing clearly and logically. He also used a variety of Tier 3 vocabulary to enhance meaning and to engage his readers. Outstanding work Noah!

This award goes to Kanish for her beautiful mixed media collage of poppies. Kanish arranged her pieces to fill the space on the paper and successfully learnt to weave on a circular loom. Awesome work and effort Kanish!
