Marie's Gardening Gurus!
'Watching the Year 4/5 students care about our school environment makes me really proud to be a part of Sacred Heart.' (Marty ~ Deputy Principal)
This afternoon the Year 4/5's did some gardening and made the school look healthier and beautiful. Firstly, we stuck down into the garden beds some decorations like birds, insects etc. Secondly, we started watering the plants, flowers and trees. While we were watering the plants, we had a small conversation with each other, reminding each other with what plants to water. We all had so much fun together.
Today we did gardening on a sunny day. We watered the plants in our garden and it was lots of fun putting figures in our garden as well. We learnt that when watering plants we water the roots and that plants are resilient. Raffaela
Recently, we've been helping each other by cleaning out the school’s garden. We have also planted garden ornaments near the school gates and the school entrance, and we watered the plants and flowers. We had lots of fun, and we all had a great time. We hope that the school will stay and look neat and tidy! 😆 Kaone
We had a really fun time outside looking after plants and we loved putting the plastic flowers in the garden. It made the garden look inviting and brighter. We enjoyed watering the plants and trees and helping them grow. Arvin, Laura, Amy, Benjerman.
Today Massie and Mason did some gardening in the front of the school. We got some decorations like ornamental birds and frogs and stuck them in the dirt/soil, then we used the watering cans to make the roots of the plants moist and healthy, after that Marty called us into the classroom and that was the last session of the day. By Mason and Massie.
Year 5/6

The energy in the room has been buzzing with excitement!
