Science News

Our CPS science leaders, Ira and Skanda, ran their first Science Club session for the year and it was a great success! They led the workshop with 15 enthusiastic students from Years 3 to 5 joining in.
Participants learned how crystals can be formed from salt or sugar solutions and had the chance to create their very own crystals experiments. They are now are waiting a few weeks to see the results.
More recently we held a second Science Club session where students learned about the science of flight by building and testing different paper plane designs. Skanda taught students about the important factors that influence a paper planes flight, such as lift, thrust, and drag, and how the shape of the plane impacts its aerodynamics.
Science Club will be running every fortnight, offering students a chance to engage get hands on learning about topics outside of our science lessons.
We can’t wait to see what students discover next!
