Year 3 - Middle Unit

Over the past fortnight, students have been settling back into classroom routines after a busy two weeks filled with swimming and camp.
They have been putting the finishing touches on their Scientist Projects, using Google Docs to publish their research. Students also created timelines and glossaries to support their work.
As part of our Science unit, students completed a hands-on experiment where they designed and built balloon-powered cars. They applied their knowledge of forces to launch the cars and measured how far they travelled across different surfaces. The students will now begin to build a marble run, using their knowledge of friction and momentum, to make their marble travel the slowest.
We also welcomed Brainstorm Productions, who performed a play exploring what it means to be brave and the many ways people can show bravery. The students were thoroughly engaged with the performance and took away meaningful insights from the experience.
