Ergon Energy Apprenticeship Information Sessions
Ergon Energy will conduct an online information session on Tuesday, 3 June, from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. for students and families who may be interested in an apprenticeship. The session can be accessed via the following link.
A second session will be held on Thursday, 5 June, from 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm, and it can also be accessed via the following link.

Year 12 Celebration Dinner
Our Celebration dinner will be held on Friday, 19 September. Each student may bring up to two parents or caregivers. Students have been asked to begin organising their tables and pass names on to me. More information will be coming out later in the term. Please email me if you have any questions.

Sport Polo Update
We’ve been continuing our project to find a new alternative to the Sport Polo. Recently, we conducted a sample test of the third version, where a group of students wore the polos to help us assess their fit and comfort. This feedback is valuable as we work towards finding the right option to introduce in future years.
We’ll keep you informed of any updates as we move closer to a rollout.
All students are invited to our 2025 Mabo Day Movie Night, marking the end of Reconciliation Week and celebrating Mabo Day.

Sports Tours Trivia Fundraiser

Australian Catholic Youth Festival
St Mary’s, in partnership with Catholic Education Diocese of Cairns, is providing an exciting, invaluable, and profound experience for students in Years 9–11. Feedback Surveys will be conducted during Weeks 6-8 of Term 2, May 26 – June 13, to enable the analysis of results to be incorporated into the school's annual planning processes.
All parents and staff will be invited by email from CES to complete the survey, and all students in Years 5, 6, 8, and 11. We estimate that the survey will take up to 20 minutes to complete. All surveys are anonymised in the Survey Manager system, with email reminders sent weekly to non-respondents. Please don't share your survey link - families, staff, and students must access it in their email.
