What's On In Art

Prep

This term the Preps have been exploring lots of different mediums! They’ve created leaf rubbings, snails from air dry clay and collage using painted paper to learn about Warin Season.

1/2s

The Grade 1/2s are almost finished with their felt Australian Animal puppets! Our final step will be sewing the sides together using a simple running stitch.

3/4s

The Grade 3/4s have been studying First Nations artist Deanne Gilson. Looking closely at native flowers, students practiced making line drawing scratch art which they used to help create gorgeous terracotta vases.

5/6s

These wonderful clay pieces have carefully been constructed by the Grade 5/6s. They were given the challenge to follow their own creative direction. While waiting for the clay to be fired in the kiln, they’ve been working on stop motion animations of Australian Animals.
