Grade 1 

This week during Maths we have been learning all about location and directions. We have been using positional language such as: left, right, above, below, up, down, around, North, South, East and West. We are getting better at determining left and right, with the help of using our left and right hands- this is something we will continue to practise! The children have also enjoyed looking at different types of maps and following directions to reach a desired destination. 

Thank you to those students that have brought in their grocery items for our Reverse Advent Calendar. Each student was given a specific item to donate. We are still seeking the last few items on our list- It would be great if these could be brought to school next week. 

We are looking forward to an extra long weekend, with our curriculum day next Monday and Melbourne Cup Holiday on Tuesday. There will be no school on these days. We look forward to seeing the children back at school, refreshed and ready to learn on Wednesday the 8th of November.
