This year for their 8th birthday, Julia (2M) and Jasmine (2Q) chose to ask for donations to Cancer Council in lieu of birthday presents. Each year, Julia and Jasmine research a different charity, and ask friends and family to make a donation instead of gifting them a birthday present.

Julia and Jasmine were interviewed by the Cancer Council as a result of their generous contribution. Jasmine said, “it’s more than just about presents. We have to support people who have cancer, and we wanted to do something that could help others.” Julia said, “our birthdays feel more special when we can help people.”
