Year 11 Geography Field Work
Impacts of Tourism on St Kilda
The year 11 Geography students had the opportunity to go to St Kilda and view the suburb through the lens of a geographer. Unit 2 Geography requires students to explore the environmental, economic, social, and cultural impacts of different types of tourism, and the issues and challenges that these create for people, the economy, and the environment.
Students took public transport from Tarneit Station to St Kilda and then employed primary data techniques to collect information related to the characteristics of tourism in the region. Students then gathered primary and secondary sources and presented their findings in a fieldwork report.
Congratulations to the year 11 Geography students for all their effort and hard work in conducting their field study research.
