DUKE OF ED!
Please find below student reflection by Emily Ellis of Year 9.
Jack Gromer
Duke of Ed Co-ordinator
The Duke of Ed Bronze award is a fantastic way to get involved with the community and accomplish your goals. Working towards the bronze award, I was exposed to various challenges, encompassing service, skills, physical recreation and the adventurous journey. My activities were coaching (service), drums/instrument (skill) and basketball (physical recreation).
The program allows students to step out of their comfort zone and truly tests your determination and commitment to meet your goals. Despite the adventurous journey proving a hard challenge, it was a great way to push myself organisationally and physically, while embracing new social opportunities and making new friends. A big thank you to my assessors and Duke of Ed teachers, Mr Gromer and Mr King.
