Coolangatta Silver

Matt Bevilacqua (SVC 2001-08) won silver at the recent Coolangatta Gold Event on Sunday 15 October.

Matt had previously won the event in 2018.  Early in the year he won his second Nutri-Grain Ironman championship. Among his other accomplishments is being a five-time world champion in the gruelling 51.5 km Molokai to Oahu Paddleboard World Championship.

St Virgil's achievements on the national sporting stage extended to staff as Director of Sport Mr Michael Moschogianis also competed at the Coolangatta Gold.

After more than six months of intense training, he went toe to toe against the best in the country, finishing the event at an incredible 6th in the 50-59 yo age group.
