Principal's Report

By Carolyn Serpell

Tomorrow is World Teachers Day and an opportunity for us to thank our teachers for the significant role they play in our student's lives.  I would particularly like to acknowledge the many times our teachers have gone above and beyond to support our students and the wonderful contribution they make to our school and community.

Tomorrow is also an opportunity for students to help the SRC raise funds to upgrade some of our sandpit equipment.  Students are encouraged to come dressed up as their favourite movie or cosplay character.  Please bring a gold coin donation to support this cause.

On Tuesday, students in Year 5 visited the Kinder as part of the early transition to school program and getting to know their 2024 buddies.  During their time at the kindergarten, students spent time getting to know the children through shared play activities.  Students will visit the Kinder again next Tuesday.

On Thursday 2nd November, from 3.30 - 4.30pm, we will hosting an Open Classroom, Exhibition of Learning.  Families are invited to join us in this celebration of student learning and to enjoy the displays of student work, each class will have on display.

Last week's Year 3 and 4 camp provided lots of challenges and

learning moments.  Many thanks to the team at Howmans and to all attending staff and volunteers for their time and assistance.  This was a great experience for our students, which I'm sure they will all remember for many years to come.

As a school we are conscious of the many different emotions our children and families may be experiencing, in response to recent events.  Below are some resources and services that may be of assistance.
