Foundation Fundamental Motor Skills Program

An important part of a comprehensive physical education program is instruction in fundamental motor skills. Fundamental motor skills, such as the run, leap, catch and overhand throw, form the building blocks which underpin the learning of more complicated sport and movement skills.

The Foundation teachers and students spent Friday morning in the sunshine completing a rotation of fundamental motor skills activities. The teachers wanted to say a huge thank you to our Grade 6 leaders, who spent their morning with us running each of the activities. We were so impressed with their leadership skills, patience and clear instructions.

We are looking forward to the next two weeks of this fantastic program.
