Our Catholic Community

Catholic Missions Week

Last week we celebrated Catholic Mission Week, our annual fundraising for Catholic Mission. Each house had a fundraising day, organised and delivered by secondary Pastoral Academic Care groups. Slushies, lollies, cupcakes and carnival games were on offer for everyone's enjoyment. It was a joyous week across the school. Our fundraising totals were amazing:

HouseTotal
Goretti$453.70
McAuley$384.10
Mercy$553.45
Savio$516.65

Teacher Torture

To conclude our week of fundraising for Catholic Mission, staff members volunteered to be 'tortured' by the students. Fundraising totals matched torture levels such as ice bucket, slime and slime and flour. A big thank you to our dedicated and fun staff who took part in this event. It was a big hit with the students and they can't wait until 2024.

Feast of All Saints

On Wednesday, we gathered as a Catholic community to celebrate the Feast of All Saints. All Saints Day is a celebration honoring all men and women who have entered Heaven. While this includes every soul in Heaven, the focus is particularly on those who led extraordinarily holy lives on earth and that the Church has canonized as saints. Thank you to Fr Vic for celebrating Mass with us and to the readers and musicians for their role in the celebration.

First Holy Communion

Preparation is under way for First Holy Communion for our Year 3 and 4 students.  The second Parent session will be combined with the Rehearsal session on 9th November, 6.30pm at the church. First Holy Communion will be celebrated on Sunday 26th November at 9:30am
