Principal's Message

Good afternoon parents & carers,

As I reflect on the past fortnight, I am filled with immense pride and gratitude for the vibrant and bustling activities that have graced our school. It has indeed been a busy and exhilarating week, which commenced with a pivotal event - the 2024 Kindergarten Transition and Parent Information session. The air was filled with palpable excitement as we extended a warm and enthusiastic welcome to both new and existing families joining our school community.

The heartwarming buzz throughout the school was infectious, marking the beginning of a significant milestone for our incoming kindergarten students and their families. As our newest members engaged in tailored and stimulating learning experiences, parents were invited to participate in a School Readiness program. This insightful session was led by a panel of distinguished experts - a Paediatrician, Occupational Therapist, Speech Therapist, and Dietitian. Its primary objective was to empower parents with indispensable insights and guidance regarding early learning and school readiness. I extend my sincere appreciation to Mrs. Pamella O'Neill, Mrs. Kellie Downes, and the Kindergarten Leaders of

Learning for their exceptional dedication and unwavering support in crafting and executing this successful transition program, which will continue over the following weeks, ensuring our students and families are well-prepared for their journey in 2024.

Additionally, we celebrated the triumph of our Infants (K-2) disco on Thursday evening, a delightful social event that brought together our students and staff in an atmosphere of joy and camaraderie. The enthusiasm overflowed into today, with the school transformed into a sea of cozy pajamas for the wonderful Kindergarten Pyjama Day, fostering a sense of togetherness and fun. A special acknowledgment goes to the K-2 staff for their dedication and support, and heartfelt gratitude to the P&F for providing catering at the disco. Both events were resounding successes, contributing to the vibrant tapestry of our school's social life.

However, it is with a tinge of regret that I must share the news of the cancellation of the much-anticipated P&F Social Event scheduled for Friday evening due to lower than expected attendance. This event, intended to express our gratitude for the unwavering support and invaluable contributions of our school families, will be rescheduled for Term 1, 2024. Additional details will be provided closer to the term's end as we look forward to reuniting and celebrating together.

I extend my heartfelt thanks to all our families for their continued support, enthusiasm, and commitment to the school's community. As we progress through this term, let's anticipate and embrace the myriad of exciting events and educational opportunities that await us.

God bless,

Mr Jamie McDowall
