Great Vic Bike Ride Training

Over the last few months, a team of Beaumaris students, teachers and parents have been preparing to take on the Great Vic Bike Ride! Last Sunday, we had our final training ride and clocked 60km on the bike! We cycled from school to the top of Oliver's Hill in Frankston, ventured up Humphries Road and returned via Beach Road.

We have been learning about fuelling ourselves with nutrition and hydration during long distance rides, keeping our bikes in sound mechanical working order and pacing ourselves.

This weekend we will be heading to Orbost to begin our 5-day event where we will cover over 300km and 2864m elevation across four days of cycling.

Happy riding everyone!
