Year 10 Calculus Specialism

In the Year 10 Calculus specialism, students have been investigating the Unit Circle. They started by learning about degrees and radians and then by filling in the Unit Circle with commonly used angles between 0 ° and 360 ° or 0 and 2𝜋 radians.

Next, they used their knowledge of Trigonometry and symmetry to evaluate the angles with sine and cosine, which are important skills that they will revisit in VCE maths. The students created their own unit circle designs, and we were very impressed with their creativity.

In our Year 10 Calculus specialism, we have been learning about the unit circle. To help us learn, we created our own design of the unit circle. In the class we had a bicycle, turtle, CD and an eye to name a few. We had a fun time completing this task and will not forget how to construct a unit circle.
