BE Program
On Monday, our students begin their 2024 classes in the BE Program, marking a crucial phase of transition and growth. The BE program is about becoming: Year 7s move into Year 8 with new Learning Teams, Year 8s start their Specialisms and Year 9s embark on new Specialisms and, in many cases, their first Unit 1 & 2 VCE studies. Year 10 and 11 students transition into full VCE studies based on their chosen pathways.
BE Program timetables are available on Compass and 2024 Specialisms have been emailed to Year 8 and 9 students. Please note that no changes can be made to student Specialisms during the BE Program. However, post-program, if necessary, students can discuss changes with Assistant Principal Peter Bartlett before the year ends.
At Beaumaris Secondary College, we offer personalised pathways aligned with the Victorian Curriculum and VCE Study Designs. In Years 9 and 10, Communicate and Relate and Mathematics run as year level specific specialisms. All other learning areas provide curriculum that is a continuum across two years, allowing for combined learning teams of Year 9 and Year 10 students.
Our broad range of specialisms prepares students for a rigorous academic senior pathway, building on exceptional learning from Years 7 to 10 in our VCE offerings.
Micro-credentials Week
Our last week of school offers students alternative learning experiences without the pressure of official assessments. From Friday 8 December to Friday 15 December, students can choose full or half-day programs tailored to their interests.
This unique week is all about acquiring new knowledge and skills in a low-stakes environment.
Students can sign up for their preferred programs via Compass, selecting from a diverse range of engaging options.
Micro-Credentials Week is designed to inspire curiosity and foster personal growth.
Remembrance Day Service
Our Student Leaders exemplify the spirit and values of Beaumaris Secondary College, and their representation at the recent Beaumaris RSL Remembrance Day service was nothing short of commendable. Amidst the solemnity of the occasion, the feedback we received was overwhelmingly positive, resonating with pride for our college.
One particular highlight was the address delivered by Josh N. It resonated deeply with attendees, earning accolades and admiration for its heartfelt delivery and profound message. I invite you to take a moment to listen to Josh's tribute below.
The feedback from everyone in attendance was so positive to the Beaumaris Secondary College, the boy who delivered the 2023 Remembrance Day Address was an absolute star.

We look forward to more engaging interactions in the future.
