KILVINGTON REUNIONS GO INTERNATIONAL!

Recently, two former students from the 70s and 80s met up after more than 40 years. Deidre Smith (1975-1980) and Meaghan Kelly (nee Stokie, 1976-1981) discovered through mutual Kilvington friends that they now both live in Sweden, and organised a catch-up in Gamla Stan, the beautiful old town of Stockholm.

Deidre has been living in Sweden for 25+ years and works as an English teacher at the Stockholm International School Norra Latin. She lives in central Stockholm with partner Tomas and sons Felix and Kasper.

Meaghan moved to Sweden just over two years ago and lives in the south-east region, halfway between Copenhagen and Stockholm, on a forest farm with partner Claes.

They had a long and most enjoyable chat in a cosy café about the old days at Kilvington and laughed over the antics they and other students got up to. Both agree that the winter can be challenging in Sweden but adore the long and light days during the other beautiful months. Being out in the nature is a big part of both of their lives.

Deidre and Tomas spend a lot their time hiking while Meaghan and Claes are out walking and biking around their property and nearby areas as much as possible. Both couples take full advantage of their close proximity to other European countries by travelling regularly.

CHERYL QUATEMBER (NEE BINGHAM, CLASS OF 1966)

In an RSVP to the Kilvonian Konnections event Cheryl (affectionately know as Bing) wrote, “Unfortunately I am unable to attend as I am currently caravanning around Australia for the next six months. I retired to Queensland from Perth in 2004 after 32 years working in Medical Laboratory Technology. Best wishes and congratulations to all surviving classmates. Would love to see photos of you all.”
