50 Year Reunion

It was a small, intimate and lively group of former students from the Class of 1973 who joined together in August for their 50 Year reunion.

Guests enjoyed wonderful conversations, reminiscing about their days at Kilvington, and went on a short tour of the School conducted by our Student Ambassadors. They particularly enjoyed the display of uniforms through the decades set up in Main Reception.

We were delighted to welcome the Class of 2022 back to Kilvington for their One Year Reunion.

The VCE Study Centre (or Treehouse as it is affectionately known) was filled with former students chatting and catching up with one another and with their past teachers.

Walsh Club Luncheon & Time Capsule Ceremony

Our second Walsh Club Luncheon for 2023 was held on Friday 6 October at Kilvington. As part of the 100 year celebrations, guests were invited to attend the Centenary Time Capsule Ceremony held just before the luncheon in the Centenary Garden.

Our Principal, Mr Rob French, made a small speech and students from Junior and Senior School displayed and explained the items that were placed in the time capsule. Several Walsh Club members also included objects in the vessel including badges, blazer pockets and letters.

After a traditional smoking ceremony, the Kilvington Maintenance Team sealed the capsule and officially lowered it into the burial site where it will remain until 2048.

A video of the event can be found here.

Thanks to those who attended including those who travelled from a great distance including Ruth Hawgood (nee Hughes, Class of 1970) from Mango Hill, QLD and Angie Wolf (nee Froud, Class of 1972) from Lismore, NSW.

And a special thank you to our Year 1 students who welcomed guests to the event and helped hand out name badges.

5&10 Year Reunion

In our last reunion for the year, we welcomed the Class of 2018 and the Class of 2013 for their 5 and 10-year reunion at Hotel Brighton. The Sky Bar was buzzing with fun and laughter as our alumni shared personal and professional stories of where they are now.

We are grateful to past staff Ann Cleghorn and Terry Ymer who were also able to attend the reunion.
