Recent Holiday Works/ Rolling Facilities Evaluation

A number of maintenance and school improvement works were completed through the recent term break.

These included

• Construction of a garden bed between Room 24 and the Burchall Crescent entrance

• Installation of new soil and mulch in garden beds ready for planting

• Steel hoops installed in our front garden to reduce foot traffic through the garden areas

• Concertina door in the Wentworth building replaced with aluminium framed glass doors

• Synthetic turf repairs and maintenance

• Steam cleaning of classroom areas

Next week we are expecting a team from Macutex to complete our Rolling Facilities Evaluation. The Rolling Facilities Evaluation is conducted by the VSBA and involves 5-yearly assessments of the condition of school buildings and other infrastructure such as car parks, footpaths and fencing at all Victorian government schools. We will be using this opportunity to highlight the areas of need for our school (particularly the toilet facilities, site drainage around the Burchall Crescent entrance and other structural defaults) to hopefully receive funding through the Planned Maintenance Program to improve these issues. 

You may see workers onsite inspecting our grounds both during and outside of school hours while the Rolling Facilities Evaluation is being completed. Please rest assured that all involve hold a current Working with Children Check and have undertaken an induction process.  

Semester 1 Reports

Please note that our Semester 1 Reports will be made available to parents via Compass on Wednesday the 2nd of July at 3:30 pm. As per last year, our Parent Teacher Conferences will be held in Term 3 with the date to be confirmed at a later date.
