Dear Families,
A Busy Week of Excursions and Events at Williamstown Primary!
It’s been a week full of excitement and adventure at Williamstown Primary, with students across all grades participating in memorable excursions and events!
Our Grade 1 students had the chance to explore the wonders of the farm during their excursion. They enjoyed a hands-on experience, learning about farm animals, agriculture, and the importance of farming in our community. The smiles on their faces as they fed animals and discovered new things were truly priceless!
Meanwhile, our Grade 5/6 students stepped back in time on their excursion to Sovereign Hill, where they experienced life during the Gold Rush era. From gold panning to exploring historic buildings, the students learned about Australia’s rich history in an engaging and interactive way.
Today, our Grade 3-6 students showcased their athleticism and teamwork at the Athletics Day. The competition was fierce, but the spirit of sportsmanship shone through. Students participated in a range of activities, from sprints to relays, and celebrated each other’s efforts throughout the day.
It’s been a jam-packed week filled with learning, laughter, and unforgettable memories. A huge thank you to all the teachers, staff, and volunteers who made these experiences possible for our students.
A Strong Turnout at Our 2026 Prep Information Night & School Tours Now Underway
We were thrilled to welcome a fantastic turnout to our 2026 Prep Information Night here at Williamstown Primary! It was wonderful to see so many eager families learning more about the exciting opportunities our school has to offer. From our dedicated teaching staff to our diverse programs, it was a great chance for parents and future students to get a glimpse of what makes our school so special.
Following the information night, our school tours have now officially commenced. These tours provide prospective families with the opportunity to explore our classrooms, facilities, and the vibrant school environment that makes Williamstown Primary a place where children thrive.
We’re excited to meet more new families and to share all the wonderful things our school has in store for the 2026 Prep year. If you or someone you know is interested in enrolling a student for prep in 2026, please contact the school office.
Thank you to all who attended the information night, and we look forward to welcoming more families to our school community!

ANZAC dawn service
Last Friday morning, our grade 6 student leaders had the privilege of attending the ANZAC Dawn Service at the local memorial. This special event provided them with an opportunity to reflect on the courage, sacrifice, and resilience of those who served in the armed forces.
Our students stood alongside community members, veterans, and local dignitaries, participating in the moving service which included the Last Post, a minute’s silence, and the laying of wreaths. The experience was a powerful reminder of the importance of service, remembrance, and gratitude.
We are incredibly proud of our student leaders for representing the school with respect and dignity, and for embracing the spirit of the day. It was a meaningful way for them to connect with history and honor the sacrifices made for our freedom.
Thank you to all who attended and to our student leaders for their commitment to this important occasion.
