Term 2 Level 2 Newsletter

Dear Parents and Guardians,
Welcome to another exciting term of learning and celebration in Level Two!
In Term Two, Level Two students will delve into focused learning experiences covering a range of reading comprehension strategies, persuasive writing, and procedural texts. These thematic units will enhance their proficiency in Reading, Writing, and Speaking and Listening. In Mathematics, students will participate in interactive learning activities to investigate concepts such as time, fractions, addition, subtraction, and measurement (including length and area).
Students will examine our impact on waterways and brainstorm ways to inspire others to make thoughtful changes in their daily routines. They will also participate in supplementary activities related to our overarching inquiry question, "How can we influence the environment?" Through this exploration, students will grasp the importance of sustainability in our water systems and devise strategies to promote cleaner waterways. We have a fun filled incursion planned through the Monash City Council that will guide us through recycling rules. Students will dive into the recycling process and learn where materials come from and why recycling helps our environment. We take an in-depth look at how material streams are sorted and processed.
