APS Fair Update

Hi Parents,

The school fair is upon us THIS SATURDAY 3RD MAY! 

 

The weather is expected to be perfect and we are primed for a wonderful day for students and families. 

 

We would like to give a big thanks to all the volunteers that have worked relentlessly so far. If you haven’t yet, please click on the link and find a remaining slot to help. Your participation on the day is invaluable.

A reminder that there is a keen focus on waste minimisation at the fair. You can help by bringing your own keep cups for drinks or using and returning the re-usable cups that will be available at the coffee, lemonade and snow cone stands. There will also be a number of waste streams available. Please take note of bin labels to ensure correct use of the different waste streams.

Wristband pre orders shut tonight at midnight. Collection in the Quadrangle is on Thursday (TOMORROW) at pick up time. 

NB: You can purchase wristbands, Fair Dollars and individual ride tickets from the Information Tent on the Day.

Fair Details

APS Fair unlimited ride and activity wristbands are now available for purchase!

Simplify your kids experince at the APS Fair by pre-purchasing wristbands and Fair Dollars. No need to worry about buying individual tickets—your kids can enjoy as many activities as they want while also helping to raise valuable funds for the school!

 

Wristbands include:

  • Unlimited fair rides
  • Face painting
  • Choice of 1 x Snow Cone or Fairy Floss
  • Activities and roving entertainment

Further snow cones, fairy floss, and popcorn are also available for purchase for $1 each. All rides will be priced at $6 per ride on the day.

 

Prices are as follows:

  • 1 school-aged child - $35
  • 2 school-aged children - $65
  • 3 school-aged children - $90
  • 4 school-aged children - $95
  • Concession - with a current health care card - $25
  • Preschool-aged children - $20

Ticket sales close at midnight on WEDNESDAY, 30 APRIL.

Wristbands will be available to collect on THURSDAY, 1 May from 3pm, in the playground near the office, and on the day from the information point.

Please note: Each child's individual size and weight may determine which rides they are eligible to ride, due to safety regulations.  Single rides tickets will also be available to purchase on the day.

 

APS Fair Dollars are back! $10 Cash = 10 APS Fair Dollars

Why not also pre-purchase APS Fair Dollars to give your kids their own spending money?

APS Dollar cards - 10 x $1 tokens that can be used as a currency during the fair and redeemable at most stalls for food, soft drink and goods. Perfect for kids if you don’t have cash handy!

APS Fair Dollars are non-refundable and must be spent on the day.

Due to Department of Education policies, APS Fair Dollars are NOT redeemable at the bar or stalls not run by the APS Community Engagement & Fundraising Committee.

 

General Ticketing Info

We have also increased the amount of EFTPOS machines on the stalls so you don’t need to worry about carrying large amounts of cash, and we are still taking cash at stalls as usual.

More APS Fair Dollars are available to purchase on the day from the Information Stand.

All money raised will be reinvested in our school, allowing us to provide upgrades to our beautiful grounds.
