Junior School News

Our Junior School students have had a fabulous start to Term 2! This term promises to be full of exciting learning opportunities, new challenges, and fun activities. Please enjoy some Term 2 spotlight moments from our little people below.

Prep

Sofia:

In Inquiry, we have been learning about the weather. Every day, we go outside and write about the weather. Today is cloudy and sunny.

Molly:

We have learned the names of different weather, like sunny, cloudy, snowy, windy, rainy and stormy! Snowy is my favourite weather!

Year 1

Nicola: I have been making number bonds for 2-digit numbers. I know that 70 + 7 = 77 and 7 + 70 = 77 too!

Carter: I have been doing hard maths! We have been putting numbers on a number line.

Year 2

Luna: In Writing, we are learning about persuasive texts and how to persuade someone. I wrote about books being better than movies. I think books are better because they spark your imagination!

Freddie: In Inquiry, we are learning about the Solar System. So far, we have learned about the Sun and the Earth. The Sun is 4.6 million years old!
