Dear Parents,

Presentation Day

I would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who contributed to making Presentation Day a wonderful and memorable occasion.

Special thanks to Sarah White for her outstanding work in organising the event, Jayant Datt for creating the Year 6 roll call PowerPoint presentation, and Shelley Chaffey for her valuable assistance in the organisation.

Thank you also to our dedicated staff for their hard work in preparing students, and congratulations to all the students on their achievements; your dedication and efforts have truly paid off.

Thank you also to Ken Barwick and the Bathurst High Campus staff for their support in allowing us to utilise the facility.

We also appreciate the support of our parents and community members whose encouragement means so much to our school community.

Together, we celebrate the talents, perseverance, and successes of our students. Thank you all for being part of this special day.

Semester 2 Reports

Semester 2 reports will be sent home with students on Friday. These reports celebrate the hard work, progress, and achievements of each student throughout the semester. We encourage families to take the time to read through the report and celebrate the successes reflected within.

If you have any questions or would like to discuss your child’s progress further, please do not hesitate to contact your child’s teacher. We are here to support your child’s continued learning and growth.

Class Parties

Our end-of-year class parties will be held on Tuesday, 16th December. Children are encouraged to bring a plate of party food to share with their class. It will also be a free dress day, so students can come to school wearing their favourite party clothes (with enclosed shoes- no crocs or thongs, and a broad-brimmed hat) while celebrating the end of a fantastic year.

We look forward to a fun and joyful time together!

Canteen

The last day of canteen for the school year will be tomorrow, Friday, 12th December. Thank you to Mrs Chaffey and all of our volunteers for their amazing work in keeping our canteen operating.

Have Your Say: Parent Survey Now Open!

We value your feedback and invite all parents and carers to participate in our annual Parent Survey. Your insights help us reflect on the past year and plan for an even better future for our school community.

Please take a few minutes to share your thoughts by completing the survey at the link below:

Canteen Artwork Project!

We’re thrilled to share an exciting update on our upcoming Canteen Artwork Project! Bathurst Public School has partnered with talented local artist Calum to transform the canteen area into a vibrant and inspiring space that reflects the heart of our school community.

Calum, whose work can be seen in several stunning local installations (see examples below), will begin creating the mural in late December. His design will celebrate the creativity, diversity, and spirit of Bathurst Public School — a lasting legacy for our students, families, and staff to enjoy for years to come.

The project is a joint initiative between the P&C and the school, who have together committed the majority of the funding required. To bring this vision fully to life, we’re now inviting our school community to help raise the final $10,000 needed to complete the project. Every contribution, big or small, helps us achieve this incredible goal.

If you’d like to be part of this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to leave your mark on our school, donations can be made via:

PC General Account

BSB: 082441

ACC: 425386324

(Please include your name so it can be added to the artwork’s donor list.)

We can’t wait to see Calum’s creativity in action and share the finished masterpiece with our whole school community early next year!
