EDUCATIONAL PATHWAYS PROGRAM

Building Practical Life Skills with ReadySkills
Students at Inverell High School have recently participated in engaging ReadySkills Life Ready workshops, designed to equip young people with the skills needed for everyday life, work and further study.
A workshop was delivered last Thursday for Clontarf and STARS students, with another workshop delivered to Year 9 students in the final school week. Through interactive activities, students explored practical topics such as budgeting and financial decision making, basic car maintenance, Driver Knowledge Test preparation, mock interviews, understanding wages and tax, and pathways to employment.
The sessions also provided clear information about post-school options, including TAFE, university and SBAT opportunities available while still at school. Students responded positively to the real-world focus of the workshops, building confidence and understanding around future planning and independence.
