Generation STEM –
On Country Experience
Earlier this term, Year 8 students Galaxy, Layla and Mia attended the Deadly in Generation STEM program, a four-day camp held in Narrabri.
Throughout the camp, students engaged in a range of hands-on STEM experiences delivered on Country by Cultural Knowledge Holders, local mentors and STEM professionals. The program explored traditional STEM knowledge and its connection to modern pathways through activities including a cultural ecological walk, traditional dance, Aboriginal astronomy and Sky stories, conservation and bush regeneration, and Indigenous games.
We are incredibly proud of our girls for embracing this opportunity and grateful they were able to take part in such a meaningful and enriching experience
