Physical Education

Term 1 - Week 4

Physical Education - The Year 3 to 6 students have really taken to Badminton. They love to hit the shuttle and are improving each session. We were able to receive some funding through the Sporting Schools program. If there are any parents who don't work Wednesday, enjoy Badminton and have a Working with Children Check - we are planning to go to the Euroa Stadium and hit on real courts this term.

The Foundation, Year 1 and 2 students are enjoying learning the games we play at recess and lunch. We are learning to go out and starting to learn decision making in sports and games. This is something we will continue to work on.

Swimming - We have some super fish at St. John's!! Our students were able to compete at the District level last week and they all swam their very best, which is fantastic! We now have 19 students who have qualified for the Division event on the 1st of March. We wish these students all the best.

Melbourne Football Club - Can you believe some players from the Melbourne Football Club came and cooked us pancakes?!?

Our Melbourne supporters were so excited. Charlie, Shelby, Mia and Mackenzie wore their Melbourne colours and were able to take the players on a tour, getting things signed and enjoying a kick-to-kick.  The students were also able to ask questions of the players. The AFL reported that the players thought our students were very well behaved and great kids.

Have a great week!
