La minute française

La minute française

Bonjour à tous!

It has been lovely seeing all our ‘old’ students again as well as meeting our new ones. It was also great to meet so many parents at the Welcome afternoon on Monday. We have two French teachers at CHPS this year:

Sophie Gammon: teaching grades Foundation, 3, 5 and 6

sophie.gammon@education.vic.gov.au

Guilaine André: teaching grades 1, 2 and 4

guilaine.andre@education.vic.gov.au

FRENCH CAPTAIN

Here is a note from our new French Captain Molly. Be sure to say “bonjour” if you see her around school.

Dear CHPS students and families,

Je m’appelle Molly.

I am Molly and I will be your French Captain in 2024. I have been learning French since prep and I love it. Last year I entered the French poetry competition and I improved my French speaking and confidence a lot. I recommend this for people who want to improve their French.

I am looking forward to doing some fun things this year in my role as French Captain.

Come and find me if you have any ideas about French in our school.

Merci et au revoir

From

Molly

Chanson de la semaine ! (Song of the week)

The song of the week is a song that the Grade 5s and 6s might recognise. It was the French entry for the Eurovision song contest last year.
