A message from our new Chaplain
Hello from Cherrie Newsham
Hey everyone, I hope you have all had a restful break and are ready for what 2024 holds for you. I just wanted to write this short letter to introduce myself. My name is Cherrie Newsham and I am the new Chaplain at LPS. I am really looking forward to coming alongside you and your children as you journey through life, offering support in whatever capacity I can.
A little bit about myself, I grew up in Adelaide (don’t hold that against me!) where I met my husband. We have three children who are now all in high school, the youngest graduating from primary school last year. Some of my hobbies include reading a good book, starting and completing a good jigsaw puzzle, spending time with my children, playing games on my phone (probably do that way too much!!) and relaxing in front of a good movie.
One thing I am really passionate about is seeing children and adults alike recognise their potential and understand how loved, special and unique they are. Every one of us has something to offer this world and I will do my utmost to encourage this in all my interactions across the LPS community.
I will be at school on Monday’s, Tuesday’s and Thursday’s. If there is ever a time where you and your family need just that little extra support, please don’t hesitate to contact the school and make a time to see me.
Have a great first term and I look forward to meeting many of you around the school 😊
