School Council Final Update 2023

Hi parents and carers,

 

School Council met last night for the last meeting of the year (December). Please find below an update.

 

Team Kids: The summer holiday program is now open, please ask Gero or look online at the teamkids.com.au for the program or to book. If any families have prep students starting in 2024, please let Gero know if you intend to use before or after school care to enable best planning. 

 

Learning languages survey: if you have not already done so, please fill in the online survey to help the school work out future delivery of language education: https://forms.gle/qMRpeiGkNroHgACMA

 

The Great Lee Street Fete 2024: our 2024 fete is fast approaching, and will be held on Sunday 3 March 10am-4pm (9-10am: low sensory hour). Please keep eye out for messages from Cath Doggett and team about how you can get involved. If you would like to get involved, please let the office know.

 

Fixit help around the school (maintenance person): The school does not have a maintenance person, as wonderful Norm (“Mr Fixit”) retired. The school has identified someone to take on this role, which will be paid from CNPS fundraising efforts in 2024.

 

Wellbeing and Inclusion: On Tuesday, Uli Cartright came in to share his story as part of CNPS celebration of International Day of People witih Disability. Thanks to David Hansen (Jethro and Baxter’s dad) for co-facilitating the 2 sessions with Uli. Thanks also to David Hansen, Kris Dearicott, Sally Abbott, Megan Quinlan, Kylie Hansen and the Wellbeing and Inclusion sub-committee for organsing this opportunity. Some really inquiring and thoughtful discussion around acceptance of everyone’s abilities and ways to meaningfully connect with people everyone around us.

 

Year 6 graduation: Everyone is welcome to attend the Year 6 graduation on Monday 9:15am. Come celebrate in Year 6 students’ achievements and massive contributions to CNPS.

 

Thank you for a really productive year!: While this is our last council meeting in 2023, the final council meeting for 2023 will be in February 2024. Thank you for a huge year and for everyone’s contributions right across our CNPS community.
