Do Your Best ~ Help Others Succeed ~ Respect Our School

Please support our efforts to create, promote and build a positive, safe and respectful school environment & culture by speaking with your child regularly about concepts and ideas appearing on these pages!

"WEAR OUR UNIFORM PROUDLY"

From Monday onwards we will be encouraging our children to WEAR OUR UNIFORM PROUDLY which includes wearing the CORRECT UNIFORM for the SEASON and DAY!

(Actually parents & carers, we started prompting this with the children across this week!)

Our uniform looks extremely smart when worn correctly and clearly distinguishes our children as 'our St Mel's children'.

Wearing the CORRECT school uniform is another basic and simple foundation for a more connected community. We are a community of learners.

The CORRECT uniform, as outlined in the School Handbook, is clearly outlined in this document:

These guidelines include jewellery & hair.

NOTE: Religious and cultural jewellery is acceptable.

Please support our efforts to LIFT the wearing of the St Mel's School Uniform.

NOTE: We have a good supply of quality Second Hand Uniforms at the school. Please enquire at the school office.

"Wear Our Uniform With Pride!"

KEEP DOING WHAT I AM DOING

MOVE AWAY!

ASK SOMEONE FOR HELP!

In addition to continuing to support children display appropriate or desired social behaviours, we will also introduce this School Wide Approach for when someone or something is bothering us.

"When someone or something is bothering me I can...

                1. Keep doing what I am doing!

                2. Move away!

                3. Ask someone for help!"

We will continue to use these and other evidence-based strategies in support of our School Wide Positive Behaviour approach.
