Year 1 - Danielle McClure and Diane Breen

Welcome to Year 1! A warm welcome to Jordan and his family, who have joined our school community. All the children have made a wonderful start to the new school year, showing great enthusiasm for learning, and even greater enthusiasm for the classroom being so close to the playground! We are looking forward to a fun-filled Term 1.

Year 2 - Aoife Geraghty

Welcome to Year Two! We’ve had a busy week as we settle back into our routines. A warm welcome to our two new students, Annabelle and Brooklyn, along with their families. As we begin the school year, we are excited for the adventures and learning opportunities that lie ahead for Year Two! Here’s to a year filled with laughter, learning and wonderful memories!

Year 3 - Hannah Jory & Holley Giannikos

Year 3 were very excited to welcome Bradley and Dominic into their class. One of their favourite first week activities was participating in their STEM lesson with Ms Brookes! This term, students will be learning about forces, types of energy and how they are connected. Take a look at some of their learning in action!

Stage 3- Anna Kelly and Laura Courtenay

Internet Safety Day

Tuesday 6th February was Safer Internet Day. As part of our awareness of cyber safety, Stage 3 took part in an eSafety commission lesson. We listened to a presenter talk about different internet scenarios and the rights and responsibilities of those involved. Today’s focus was “consent and permission” and how we can best keep ourselves safe, particularly when using live streams in gaming and on social media. Students completed a worksheet and we asked them to bring it home to start a conversation about being Safe on the internet. We will follow on from this by explorin our school technology agreement and design a contract about how we can be safe on the internet and how we can respect others whilst online.

To further our awareness of cyber safety we will continue to work with a range of resources to explore the use of technology in your child’s life. We will take part in the next eSafety webinar on bullying and violence in March, another webinar targeted for primary students to explore current issues regarding being safe online.

For more information, we encourage you to explore the parents page on the safety commission page. The students have been guided to explore the kíds page, this will be a good place to explore together as a family and start some great conversations.
