A Prayer for Spring

God, thank you for Spring and the hope of warmer, longer, brighter days.

Thank you for the coming of growth and life and birth.

Thank you that things are coming awake in the world.

This is what our calendar says, and we do see some signs that it is real.

We have hope in you and in your promises.

We have hope in your gift of Spring.

We pray for two members of our staff who in recent weeks have farewelled their fathers - Elizabeth Grieve and Emma Coulson. May their sadness at this time be lightened by the sharing of many happy memories and the warmth of our thoughts and prayers.
