Assistant Principal's Report

Mrs Michelle Rassias

What a fabulous day we had today - Dress Rehearsal! You know the show is close when it is Dress Rehearsal time. All the students looked amazing in their costums and I can't wait to see them on stage.

Please read the Production News page in this newsletter,  for more detailed information.

Victorian High Ability Program (VHAP)

This term we had a number of students participate in the Victorian High Ability Program - VHAP. This program is designed for students who have demonstrated high ability in literacy and/or numeracy through their NAPLAN results and performance in these subjects at school.

We asked some of our students to write a reflection on the program - what they enjoyed and what they learned.

Ryan S - "I really enjoyed VHAP because they taught us about different characters and different ways we could make a book more interesting."

Mitchell B - "I think VHAP is really amazing! We explored many areas of Maths, and learned a lot about other numerical systems. I particularly liked the session about Roman and Egyptian numerals, because I don't know much about them."

Luke S - "I really liked VHAP. I liked the day we learnt Egyptian numerals."

Hugo Y - "VHAP was one of the funnest experiences! We got to learn advanced puzzles and ancient mathematics from over 2000 years ago! My favourite session would be the puzzle, or Lesson 7. We got to crack 5 hard puzzles from easy to really HARD!"

Thank you

A big thank you to all the parents who assisted in the Father's Day stall - purchasing items, setting up the stall and manning the stall. A special mention to Natasha and Serena for all their hard work behind the scenes.
