From the Sports Desk...

Ms Bos

The last two weeks for sport have seen some Senior students preparing and practicing for the upcoming Doncaster District Athletics Meet.  We wish all our students the best of luck next Wednesday as they compete for Donvale.

Our Juniors have also started to practice events in PE, for their house sports day next term, including ball throw, target throw, hurdles and sprints.  We can't wait to see how students develop their skills in these events and more, as they display them to their friends and family next term.  Stay tuned for more information on the date of the Junior Sports Day.

Also, some of our 3/4 classes performed their creative group skipping routines for assessment in PE this week, and our 1/2's were all smiles as they participated in their last Gymnastics class.  It was so wonderful seeing the excitement on the students faces around the gymnasium at DISC and in PE class, as they showed off their skills.

But wait, there's more.  During our House Matters session this week (which includes a mixture of grade levels from Foundation to Year 6), students have begun practising different team ball games in their house groups.  Games include tunnel ball, over and under, captain ball and leader ball.  We can't wait for next term, when students across the school will compete in their houses to see who our house ball games champions will be.
