Grade 5 and 6 Camp

I have had a brilliant time this week attending the Grade 5 and 6 camp to Sovereign Hill. Each and every student displayed commendable enthusiasm and engagement to make the most out of every moment during their time at the camp. My smile brimmed from ear to ear watching the way they engaged with their activities, peers and camp staff. Multiple members of the public and camp staff spoke to me and praised our students for their politeness and respectfulness.

A special acknowledgment goes to the Grade 5 and 6 teachers, Russell, Karen, and Brooke, for their meticulous planning and outstanding facilitation of the camp. The seamless integration of the camp with the Gold Rush unit is commendable, providing our students with an enriching and memorable learning experience.

I would also like to thank additional ACPS staff Briere and Jo, along with our parent volunteers Nick and Candis for assisting across the 3 days.

Congratulations to all involved for making this camp the success it was. Please check our the Grade 5/6 page to read more about the camp and to view the photos.

Book Week

We're excited to invite families to our much-anticipated Book Week Parade, happening on Friday, August 25th, from 9:15 AM to 10:00 AM. It's a fantastic opportunity for our students to showcase their creativity and love for reading by dressing up as their favourite book characters.

Encourage your child to dive into the world of their beloved stories and bring their chosen character to life! Whether it's a classic hero, a whimsical creature, or an iconic figure, we can't wait to see the wonderful array of characters that will parade through our school.

Date: Friday, August 25th

Time: 9:15 AM - 10:00 AM

Let's celebrate the magic of books together! Your presence will make this event even more special.

Uniform

We have a compulsory uniform at ACPS that works alongside other elements of the school to foster a strong sense of belonging and unity within our school community.

We understand that occasionally, circumstances arise that might require your child to wear an alternative item for a brief period. We kindly ask that these instances be kept to a minimum and utilise similar plain coloured clothing, but the wearing of our approved uniform items as soon as possible is prioritised.

The uniform consists of:

  • Navy blue polo shirt with white piping and the school logo on the left breast. These polos are available with either short or long sleeves.
  • Navy blue bottoms (shorts, skorts or pants) in a plain colour with no stripes or logos.
  • Summer dress with a blue/white/navy blue check.
  • Box pleat tunic or skirt with a royal/navy blue check.
  • Navy blue bomber jacket with white rib striping and school logo on the left breast.
  • Navy blue puffer jacket with embroidered school logo on the left breast.
  • Hooded navy blue wind-cheater with the school logo on the left breast.
  • Navy blue hat which must be worn outside for all of terms 1 and 4.

Since we have new items in 2023, old school uniform items are still permitted to be worn as we transition to full implementation of our new uniform. A plain navy blue outer jacket is fine to wear if you have not yet been able to purchase our new Navy puffer jacket.

We sincerely appreciate your cooperation and effort in supporting the school uniform and encourage you to make contact with us if your child will be out of uniform for an extended period or if you need any support in sourcing uniform items.

A reminder that lost uniform items are kept in the foyer of the Theatre and can be viewed /searched at the end of the school day.
