Summer Sports- Friday 1st September and Friday 8th September

Recently there has been a call out for parent support at the District Summer Sport competition. Thank you to the parents who have offered to support our teams in both the Cricket Boys teams and Fully Loaded Softball teams.

We are still in need of parent helpers for the following sports on the two days:

  1. 1 parent helper for Hot Shots Tennis A or B girls team on Friday 8th September
  2. 1 parent helper for Volleyball Girls or Boys teams on both Friday 1st September and Friday 8th September.

Parent helpers are vitally important with supporting staff members under their direction for the day. It is the role of the St Simon staff members role to monitor, supervise and encourage through instruction all students on the day. Staff members are also responsible for providing first aid where necessary. Without parent volunteers, it would be challenging for our school staff to monitor and supervise our students at the various venues.

We hope we can find parent helpers to support our teams listed above. If you are available to help us as a parent volunteer for any of these teams, please contact Mr Karl Camerino as soon as you can.

Any help from parent helpers is greatly appreciated and always makes our team ever more enriched in their game play.

SUMMER SPORT TRAINING:

Morning training sessions for all teams will be offered to prepare our teams for the Winter Sports competition. These are the dates for the following teams training sessions:

Knox Rebel Sport Community Partnership with St Simons

Knox Rebel Sport has been a wonderful sponsor of our school in the past and this year. All purchases at this store by parents of the St Simon’s school community provide our school with store credits. These credits are used to provide the school with sporting equipment for sporting activities.

We highly recommend that the next time you visit or purchase an item from Rebel Sport in Knox, ask how to earn credits for our school. Thank you all for your support of our school through our Knox Rebel Sport Community partnership.
