Book Week
Always a calendar highlight, Book Week is next week!
We have multiple authors, illustrators and performers joining us throughout the week to celebrate the joy of books and reading. One feature that is a favourite amongst students is our Read-a-loud event. This is when we ask you to join us and share some of your favourite picture books with a gaggle of children from across the school. If this is something you can help with, please email me.
You are invited to watch our grand finale, the Book Week Parade on Friday (25th) morning from 9.30am. This event is completely run by a group of year 5/6 volunteers. It is a wonderful display of leadership, collaboration, inclusion and of course FUN. We are looking for someone with music mixing skills to turn the playlist into a hour long set to help get the party started. If this is something you can help with please email me. As always students are encouraged to create their own costumes from items and clothing found around the house, it is a wonderful opportunity for personal interpretation and creativity.
