Level Foundation 

In Foundation…

We have revisited 2D and 3D shapes and their properties. This time we have learnt about the words ‘edges’ and ‘vertices’ and have been investigating how many each shape has. We have also made pictures using lots of shapes and counted how many edges and vertices in our picture altogether!

In Literacy, we have been busy learning our digraph sounds and working hard to put them in our writing when sounding out words. We have also been publishing our writing to put on display! We have also been learning about adjectives, making our own adjective flower!

In Friendology, we have been learning about healthy and unhealthy friendships. Students have made our own friend-o-meter, which aims to help students identify when friendships are in the green zone. It is also to acknowledge when a friendship may have moved to the red zone, which may be the result of a friendship fire. After using their friend-o-meter to identify what zone their friendship is currently in, students are being encouraged to implement strategies taught to help get their friendships back towards the green zone.
