Level 6

Level 6

Literacy Day:

Last week we celebrated Literacy Day. On this day, students could dress up as their favourite book character. In the morning there was a parade to celebrate and every level of students got to dance and show off their costumes. We sat in a rectangle shape and those who were performing went around the rectangle. We were even lucky enough to meet the author, Kelly Wilson. She read us a spoiler of her unreleased book, told us about her pets and how they are so much inspiration for her. Ms Wilson offered to be our private pen pal and we all had a lot of fun. To end it all off, she donated a bunch of her books to the library for us to read.

District Athletics:

Late last week Level 3-6 had a chance to go to District Athletics. We tried our best and put in a good effort where we came 7th out of ten schools. Although we did not win, we had a lot of fun and won some ribbons!

Father’s Day Breakfast:

On Monday this week, we all came to school early for the Father's Day Breakfast. We got to get some food and have some fun with our dads. The kids got a sausage each while the dads got an egg and bacon roll each. To top it off there was a coffee van for the dads, which the dads enjoyed a lot.

Writing:

We have been enjoying creating mystery narratives during our Writing sessions. We have been working hard to include suspense, build character profiles and add our voice into our stories. Here are a few examples:
