Teaching and Learning in Prep V

Prep V have been very busy this term with many milestones being achieved!

Firstly, the Preps were able to go on their first excursion to the Melbourne Zoo and learnt about the different animal habitats and were able to see a huge tortoise close up.

The students have made dioramas of an animal and its habitat, that they are presenting to their class this week. Amazing effort by the children and their families in making the dioramas.

We celebrated our 100 days of Prep by dressing up as what we would look like when we are 100 years old. Do you recognise anyone?

Our musical rehearsals have started, the kids are doing an amazing job learning the words to the songs and the choreography. We were able to practice in the theatre last week and are looking forward to performing again in front of a live audience.

Students have been using stick puppets to present some of the fairy tales that we have read, such as Little Red Riding Hood, The Three Little Pigs and Goldilocks and the Three Bears just to name a few. Children had so much fun creating character voices and retelling the stories.
