IMPORTANT TERM 3, 2023 DATES
Below is a list of some of the main dates on the school calendar for Term 3, 2023. Families need to be aware that events which involve organisations outside of St John’s, such as the St Andrew’s Parish, may at times need to be rescheduled. Please be aware that these changes are beyond our control.

Friday 8th September - Subway Fun Lunch - orders close 5:00pm Wed 6th September
Tuesday, 12th September - Parent Teacher Interviews (3:30 - 8pm)
Friday 15th September - End of Term early finish 12:30pm
TERM 4
Monday 2nd October - Term 4 Commences
Tuesday 3rd October - Year 5 & 6s Depart for Camp
Wednesday 4th October - Year 5 & 6s Return from Camp
Friday 13th October - Student Free Day
EARLY FINISH REMINDER
Please mark in your calendar that school will finish at 12:30pm next week on Thursday, 7th September, to accommodate the Parent Teacher Interviews.
PARENT TEACHER INTERVIEWS
Parent Teacher Interviews will be held on dates listed below:
- Thursday 7th September between 1:00-7:00pm
- Tuesday 12th September between 3:30-7:30pm.
Interviews will be held in 15 minute time slots and will be offered online and in person. If choosing in person you will need to sign in at the front office on arrival. A booking link to make your appointment time was sent to all families via Operoo last week or you may click on the link below.
PREP 2024 INFO NIGHT
A reminder that we are holding an information session for parents who have a child joining us next year in Prep. The meeting will be held in the School Hall @ 7.00pm this Thursday 31st August. During the evening we will outline important transition dates and other information necessary for a smooth start to the year. Students are not required to attend this session. Generally the evening is aimed at new families, however current families are welcome to join us. All pertinent information regarding Transition Sessions will be published in the Newsletter and reminders will be sent via Operoo.
FATHER’S DAY STALL
A reminder that we will be holding a Father’s Day stall this Friday 1st September. We know from past years that this is a great experience for parents and gives them a birds eye view of what things are like at school. We are asking students to bring in their $5 by Thursday 31st August. This will help us to streamline things and ensure everyone gets an opportunity to visit the stall. Unfortunately with our growing student numbers, we will no longer be able to take IOUs from students for purchasing gifts.
As you can see from the image below, this year’s gift selection is sure to be well received by our dads. Students can choose from plants, car wash kits, coffee kits, gardening kits and tool kits, just to name a few things available.
2023 CAMP PAYMENTS
Camp Invoices were sent home to families earlier in August. We are asking families to cover the first $200 of the camp costs, with the school covering any costs above this. Current Health Care Card holders may be eligible for support with the cost of school excursions and camps (CSEF). Families with money still available in their CSEF account will have a reduced payment amount on their Camp Invoice. All payments are due by the 15th September.
