From the Principal

Dear Families,

Did you have a great time at our school concert last night? The students were absolutely thrilled to dive into the world of performing arts, and the opportunity to showcase their talents to you backstage filled them with tremendous excitement. Witnessing such a surge of positive energy was truly a delightful experience!

A heartfelt thank you extends to all the parents and friends of our school who supported this event. Your unwavering spirit of generosity is deeply appreciated! And to our exceptional students, a resounding applause for your outstanding efforts in ensuring the success of the show. Our staff team has been truly magnificent too - a great team effort for an amazing night. Thanks everyone!

It's hard to believe how quickly ten weeks have flown by! The third term is always a whirlwind of activity as we strive to fit in as much learning as possible in a short period of time. These past few weeks have been no exception, with many of our children receiving the Sacrament of Confirmation at the weekend masses, our senior students actively participating in interschool basketball competitions, the school concert, and, of course, our Footy Colours Day to round out the term. By the end of this week, I think we'll all be in need of a well-deserved rest!

As we prepare to embrace a change of pace, I want to take a moment to express my gratitude to all the Drummo Social Circle members who consistently support us in so many ways - this term being the Disco and Father's Day Breakfast. We're all looking forward to supporting the upcoming trivia night and making it another great success for our community.

I encourage everyone to make the most of this break, enjoy the opportunity to slow down, and perhaps take a moment or two to stroll with your family through our beautiful spring gardens. I'm already looking forward to welcoming you all back for term four, which will be here before we know it.

RU OK?

You'll see that Cathy has included a page this week with some excellent parenting ideas in relation to RU OK Day which is marked tomorrow (13th September).

This year’s theme is “I’m here to hear”, reinforcing the fact that you don’t need qualifications to talk with someone about mental health. A conversation really could change a life.

We can all make a difference when someone in our world is struggling with life’s ups and downs by helping them feel connected and supported, no matter what they might be facing.

3D Printers

If you would like to find out more or to support the project, a Go Fund Me page has been set up to assist in bringing 3D Printing to Drummo.

Finish Time Friday

A reminder that we finish at 2:30pm this Friday.

Wishing you all the very best for the upcoming holiday period. We look forward to seeing everyone for a wonderful final term beginning on Monday 2nd October.

Kind regards,

Ben Shields
