This week in Writing we are learning to publish our work.  

VOCABULARY

Publishing: making a good copy of our writing.

ACTIVITIES YOU CAN DO AT HOME TO SUPPORT YOUR CHILD'S LEARNING

Ask your child to write a kind note to someone they know. 

When they have finished the draft, ask them to read their note and check for:

• meaning (does the writing make sense?)
• spelling mistakes
• full stops at the end of sentences
• capital letters at the start of sentences and for names

Can your child use their edited draft to publish their note and deliver it to their special person?
