Sports Update 

We are looking forward to all our planned Term 4 opportunities in Sport!

Next week on Tuesday we begin with 11 of our Year 3-6 students representing our school at the Beachside Division Athletics carnival.  These students came top 2 in their respective track and field events at our Dendy carnival last term.  We wish the following 19 students all the very best at this next level of competition:

9/10 Girls

Archer V :  High Jump

WHOLE SCHOOL SWIMMING CARNIVAL : 24th November

Our Term 4 sporting highlight is our Whole School Swimming Carnival, set to take place on Friday 24th November.  This year’s carnival is to take place at MSAC in the large outdoor undercover pool. The Junior and Senior carnival will be run in the same pool, with a boom separating the pool into two.  

 Parents: please lock this date into your diaries now!  This event does require the wonderful support from numerous parent helpers for both the Junior (P-2) and Senior (3-6) carnivals.  An Operoo email with all relevant details will be sent out to all families in the next couple of weeks.

T20 CRICKET BLAST TOURNAMENTS:

Teams are being finalised this week for our T20 Cricket Blast tournaments for those Year 3-6 students that expressed interest in playing.

The relevant Year 3&4 students will attend their tournament on Friday 20th of October and the Year 5&6 teams will attend theirs on Friday 27th of October.  Both days are to be held at Kooyong Park.  All information for these days will be sent out via an Operoo permission email over the next few days.  Any parents that are able to help supervise and score for their child’s team, please email Tania. Mrs. Thompson will meet with all players to go over the rules and specifics for these days. Thank you.

RETURN of all BORROWED SPORT SINGLETS, FOOTY JERSEYS & SOCCER SHIN GUARDS.

If we can please ask all families to have a good search at home & ensure their child has handed back all borrowed Football, HoopTime, Winter Sport & Lightning Prem sports singlets/jerseys & shin guards please.  We still have a few shin guards & jerseys to be returned.   Please ask your child to hand them back into the office for Mrs Thompson to collect.  THANK YOU!
