Marist Summit

Four prefects of 2024, Gus Rolfe, Max Poglio, Jayden Cox and Marc Allam, went to Brisbane for three days of the annual Marist Summit.  It was a gathering of 77 students from 14 Marist schools from Queensland, Northern New South Wales and the Northern Territory. This is what our prefects had to say:

"The summit was amazing and a great opportunity to meet new people and learn from leaders from Marist schools all over Queensland."

"The summit was a chance to connect with other Marist schools and network ideas in order to better our communities back home."

"During the summit, we learnt so many different ways to implement the Marist charism by collaborating with other schools and gaining insight into what they do."

"We have returned with a swag of ideas that we think will suit St Augustine’s and we are keen to start our planning and discussions with our other prefects."

Rosies

Rosies is thrilled that Year 11 students have easily and willingly taken over the Rosies volunteer roster. Thanks to the staff and the students for their efforts.

The Vinnies Christmas Appeal

This annual appeal has kicked off with a bang, and the silent auction, initiated by the Service and Arts captains of 2023, raised an awesome $1080 to go towards the appeal. We are starting to collect goods from homerooms as well. Please see the brochure below for goods that are needed for the hampers.

The SRC is also running a buyback shop and donations of clothes, sports equipment and hats in good condition are welcomed. The buyback shop will run in Week 6. Please see the brochure below created by the SRC.
