Learning Maths in Reception

Our little maths wizards in Reception are making numbers their best friends! They have been diving into number recognition, 1:1 counting of amounts, and addition and number partitioning.

Learning the building blocks of maths is crucial, and these little stars are making it look like a piece of cake! The girls have been embracing the world of maths with enthusiasm and curiosity, and it’s a joy to witness their progress!

A Trip to the Adelaide Zoo

On Friday 15 September, the girls in Reception had a day of fun at the Zoo!

The learning intention for this excursion was to develop their skills and understanding of how to group living things based on their external features. The Zoo provided provided the girls with the perfect opportunity to observe different animals and discuss what we saw. The girls were also invited to choose four different animals to create a diagram and label the eternal features.

We were also very lucky to have parent helpers who made the excursion a safe and enjoyable one!

Camp Australia October Holiday Program

The October School Holidays are here with Camp Australia offering Loreto College students a chance to spring into a school holiday adventure!

Join Rocketeers for Mission XI these October School Holidays for the ultimate holiday program that will take you from dawn to dusk with amazing activities, experiences and challenges. Students will be able to learn new skills, make new friends and have a blast!

The Program will run from Tuesday 3 October until Thursday 12 October.
