Year 12 Students

Surveys

Thank you to the Year 12 students for completing a variety of surveys over the past week. The feedback from the surveys will provide valuable information to the College to assist in reviewing its offerings, how it operates and what possible changes can be made to enhance its operations in the future.

Departure

Year 12 students who have completed all their coursework and VET Qualifications may be eligible to depart as of Friday 22nd September. A process has been put in place by the College to ascertain who may be eligible. Communication from the College will be provided to parents during the beginning of next week to confirm with you if your child is eligible and the process to go through to depart the College.

References

Year 12 reference sheets were issued on Monday 11th September to students who were present at school. Students who did not receive one are able to collect one from the front office. These are due back to the front office by lunchtime Friday 15th September. The written reference will be available to students in their Graduation folder, which they will receive as part of the Graduation Ceremony on Friday 3rd November.

Final Assessments

Year 12 students are asked to make sure they attend school for all of their final assessments and finish off their year in a positive manner.

Graduation and Prize Day

Information in relation to the Graduation and Prize Day in Term 4 will be provided by the end of the term.

Course Selections 2024

The process for the course selections for 2024 will commence soon and parents will be receiving communication and information in the coming weeks.

A WebEx (online) parent information session will be provided as in previous years for parents to join. This will be recorded and made available to those who are not able to join at the designated time. Specific details will be provided later.

As students have already made a choice in coming to the College to study agriculture and the associated trades, most of the course selections and counselling have already occurred.

The course and pathway for Year 10 Students are predetermined and set, with no options for choice as they are timetabled through all areas. Year 11 and 12 students will have some choice based on their area focus in either agriculture or trades and an option of the Extension or General Pathway. Details will be provided in the coming weeks as indicated above.

Stay safe, look after each other and have a great weekend!
